Felicien Kabuga, Rwandan Genocide Suspect, Dies in UN Custody at 93

Felicien Kabuga, a primary suspect in the 1994 Rwandan genocide, has died in United Nations custody at the age of 93. Arrested in France in 2020 after being on the run for over two decades, Kabuga was later extradited to The Hague. The court ruled him unfit to stand trial due to dementia and too ill to be returned to Rwanda, leading him to remain in a UN detention center. An investigation into the circumstances of his death has been ordered.
