The government has placed 26,219 security personnel, including 134 deep divers, on standby for search and rescue operations during the upcoming monsoon season. These resources, drawn from the Nepal Army, Nepal Police, and Armed Police Force, will be mobilized nationwide as needed. The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority estimates that over 226,000 people may be affected by monsoon-related disasters this year, with projections indicating less rainfall but higher temperatures.
