Over 250 mountaineers and guides have successfully summited Mt. Everest within a week of the climbing route opening, with favorable weather conditions potentially leading to a record number of ascents this spring season. The Department of Tourism has issued 1,181 permits for 30 peaks, with 494 targeting Everest, generating Rs 1.25 billion in revenue. Recent ascents include Kami Rita Sherpa's record 32nd summit and Pasang Dawa Sherpa's 30th ascent, making him the second-highest summiter.
