Flooding displaces four families, hydro power plant damaged

Continuous rainfall has triggered landslides in Panchthar, displacing four families from Yangworak Municipality-1 and forcing one family to relocate. Residences of several individuals have been destroyed or are at risk due to the landslides and flooding. The floods have also damaged suspension bridges, including one under construction on the Pushpalal (Madhya Pahad) Mid-Hill Highway, and have caused damage to the Harirhudulaya Mevakhola Hydropower Project and the Iwakhola Hydropower Project dam wall.
