Water users demand tax removal on drinking water (photos)

The Federation of Drinking Water and Sanitation Users Nepal staged a demonstration at Maitighar Mandala, demanding the removal of all taxes imposed on drinking water services. Protesters argued that taxing drinking water, a basic and essential service, is unfair and burdens citizens, urging the government to scrap all forms of taxation on the service.
