Former Minister Gupta released on bail of Rs 5 million

The Supreme Court has ordered the release of former Minister Rajkumar Gupta on a bail of Rs 5 million. Gupta was arrested for allegedly accepting bribes to transfer Land Revenue Officials when he was the Minister of General Administration. The apex court has also sought a written response within 24 hours on the reason behind the arrest of medical entrepreneur Durga Prasai.
