Medical entrepreneur Durga Prasai was released from custody on Tuesday after the Parsa District Court issued an order for his general release. Police had filed cybercrime and offenses against the state charges against Prasai, who was arrested on May 18. Separately, the CIAA filed a case against three individuals for contradictory testimony in a bribery case, and armed police seized marijuana from a Saptakoshi River island.

The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) is prioritizing financial discipline and addressing the nation's significant arrears, which currently stand at Rs 755 billion. Separately, the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority has filed charges against three government witnesses in a corruption case at the Special Court for changing their testimonies. The Council of Ministers also failed to appoint a new chairman for the Securities Board of Nepal.

Minister for Education and Sports, Sasmit Pokharel, met with professors overseeing universities during a transition period, instructing them to maintain examinations and administrative activities. The National Sports Council (NSC) has launched an investigation into alleged financial and administrative irregularities by officials of the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN). The Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist–Leninist) has returned approximately Rs 38.59 million to the state treasury following an investigation by the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) into alleged illegal state funding for overseas medical treatments of former high-ranking officials. The refunded amount covers expenses for former president Ram Baran Yadav, former prime ministers KP Sharma Oli, and Jhala Nath Khanal, amidst a conflict between the Public Health Act of 2018, which prohibits such funding, and older directives.

Member of Parliament Harka Sampang and his Shram Sanskriti Party are facing public scrutiny and demands for financial audits regarding non-transparent QR code-driven donations for party activities and projects. Separately, six non-life insurance companies have been fined by the Nepal Insurance Authority for misappropriation related to insurance policies for the Kathmandu-Tarai Madhesh Fast Track Project.

The Supreme Court has ordered the release of former Minister Rajkumar Gupta on a bail of Rs 5 million. Gupta was arrested for allegedly accepting bribes to transfer Land Revenue Officials while serving as the Minister of General Administration. The apex court also sought a written response within 24 hours regarding the arrest of medical entrepreneur Durga Prasai.

The Supreme Court has ordered the release of former minister Raj Kumar Gupta on a bail amount of Rs 5 million in a corruption case related to alleged bribery for transfers of land revenue officials. The apex court overturned a Special Court decision that had kept Gupta in judicial custody pending trial. In a separate development, the Supreme Court has also sought an explanation regarding the arrest of medical entrepreneur Durga Prasai.
