Power supply has been disrupted in parts of Tanahun, Gorkha, and Chitwan districts due to a technical issue in a 12 MVA power transformer at the Nepal Electricity Authority's substation in Markichowk, Tanahun. Excessive current flow caused by a problem in the transformer's earthing system led to the outage, and efforts are underway to restore power via an alternative grid.
