Government prepares to provide subsidies for electric stoves as billions are spent on gas imports

The government has introduced the Energy Consumption Growth and Export Strategy, 2083, aiming to phase out LPG gas subsidies and provide them for electric stoves by fiscal year 2092/93. The Ministry of Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation prepared the strategy to promote cleaner energy consumption and reduce LPG imports, which cost billions annually. The Ministry of Industry will implement the initiative, coordinated by the Ministries of Finance and Energy.
