President Ram Chandra Poudel stated that Nepal’s republican system guarantees political rights and inspires nation-building, uniting citizens and fostering a shared national identity. Addressing the 19th Republic Day celebrations, he emphasized that republicanism guides political, economic, and social life with ethics and democratic values, urging integrity and good governance to strengthen the federal democratic republic. He expressed confidence in the newly elected government’s reform agenda, aimed at economic recovery and social progress. Poudel warned that political system changes alone are insufficient without corresponding changes in political culture, state behavior, and leadership values, identifying delay, irregularities, and disorder as major enemies of the nation.
