The monsoon is also predicted to bring higher temperatures, with prolonged dry periods potentially followed by sudden heavy downpours that could cause flood-related disasters. Below-average rainfall is specifically anticipated in southern Karnali, most of Lumbini, eastern Madhes, and southern Koshi Province.
