Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle has stated that the upcoming fiscal year's budget will prioritize excluded regions such as Sudurpaschim and Karnali, aiming to expand the middle class by uplifting weaker segments of society. He emphasized the adoption of a 'mission mode' for development projects and assured that the budget's principles and priorities would reflect honest implementation efforts.

The Nepali Congress has tasked party office bearers and central members with updating the active membership across all seven provinces. A meeting of the NC Membership Management Central Committee decided to deploy central representatives to districts to resolve issues for members integrated from other parties.

Bagmati province is projected to contribute over a third (36.7%) to Nepal's national economy in the current Fiscal Year 2025/26, according to preliminary estimates from the National Statistics Office. This highlights significant economic disparities among the seven provinces, with Bagmati expected to contribute Rs. 2.42 trillion to the national economy, estimated to reach Rs. 6.6 trillion.
