Cloudy weather likely in hills, heat wave risk continues in Terai
Nepal is currently experiencing the influence of westerly and local winds, along with a low-pressure system near its eastern part. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology forecasts cloudy weather in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces this afternoon, with partly cloudy conditions in Madhesh Province and mountainous/hilly areas of other provinces. Most Terai regions are expected to remain mainly clear. Moderate to heavy rainfall and snowfall with thunder and lightning are predicted in some hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki, as well as parts of Madhesh Province and the Terai regions of Bagmati and Gandaki. Hot day conditions and potential heat waves are expected in certain hilly and Terai regions, with warnings of windstorms in some Terai districts of Madhesh and Koshi provinces.
