The newly constructed building of the Kathmandu Institute of Child Health (KIOCH) Children’s Hospital in Budhanilkantha was donated by philanthropist Min Bahadur Gurung and his family, with the Bhat-Bhateni Group investing approximately NPR 710 million. Former Chief Justice Sushila Karki lauded the initiative, stating the hospital will provide selfless, high-quality medical services to underprivileged children. The non-profit facility, officially handed over via a symbolic key ceremony by Jagadguru Shankaracharya, aims to establish hospital networks across all provinces to ensure access to specialized pediatric healthcare nationwide.
