Gen-Z protest: NHRC releases report, recommends action to govt

The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has released its investigation report on alleged human rights violations during the Gen-Z protests on September 8 and 9, 2025, and has forwarded its decisions and recommendations to the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers. The commission formed a special committee to investigate the incidents, and its findings were endorsed on May 26, 2026. The report urges the government to implement necessary legal and administrative measures to address the reported violations.
