Woman dies in alcohol dispute, man arrested

A 29-year-old woman, Kajal Basnet (Suwedi), died in Jhapa district after being allegedly pushed by Kiran Gautam during an alcohol consumption dispute. She fell, hit her head, and sustained critical injuries, later succumbing to them during treatment. Gautam was arrested at the scene and has been remanded for investigation under homicide provisions. Her sister, Pratima Bhattarai, filed a formal complaint.
