The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has recommended further investigation into former Home Minister Sudhan Gurung for failing to prevent the Gen Z protest on Bhadra 23–24 from turning violent. The commission noted that while the protest was initially permitted as peaceful, organizers were unable to control the situation as it escalated. The NHRC also recommended including Purushottam Yadav, Sabal Gautam, Ankit Mall, and Khemraj Saud in the investigation's scope.
