Preparation has begun for the construction of the 126-MW Lower Seti hydropower project in Tanahu, with an estimated cost of 227 million US dollars, financed by 30 percent equity and 70 percent loan from the Asian Development Bank. The dam will be located in Bandipur-6 and Devghat Rural Municipality-3, while the powerhouse, staff accommodation, and main tunnel will be in Devghat Rural Municipality-3 and 4. The land acquisition process for the powerhouse and staff accommodation has commenced.
