1,063 MW Upper Arun Hydropower project secures generation license
▸ Part of: Hetauda-Dhalkebar Transmission Line Construction Resumes After Local Dispute ResolutionThe 1,063-megawatt Upper Arun Hydropower Project has received its electricity generation license, enabling it to proceed to the construction phase. Developed by Upper Arun Hydro-Electric Limited, a subsidiary of the Nepal Electricity Authority, the project has completed most preparatory works, including land acquisition and access road construction. With an estimated cost of Rs 240 billion, the project aims for completion within 68 months.
