The Supreme Court has issued an interim order preventing the arrest of former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and his spouse. A joint bench of Justices Mahesh Sharma Paudel and Nityananda Pandey stated that legal procedures were not properly followed when seeking and granting permission for their arrest. The court observed that the process adopted by the Department of Money Laundering Investigation and the Kathmandu District Court did not comply with prevailing laws.
