More than 135 settlements in Bajura District are at high risk of floods and landslides as the monsoon season approaches, with residents demanding relocation. Local authorities have collected data on vulnerable settlements and forwarded it to the District Disaster Management Committee, but relocation efforts are delayed due to budget constraints, according to Chief District Officer Dorendra Niraula. Geographical experts will inspect high-risk areas to assess relocation feasibility.

Four individuals were airlifted for medical treatment following a violent clash over the construction of a temporary police post in Lampata, Himali Rural Municipality, Bajura. The dispute, involving residents from Humla, escalated into physical altercations, resulting in multiple injuries. The injured were transported to Surkhet Provincial Hospital via helicopter, with expenses covered by the Himali rural municipality.
