The Janata Samajbadi Party Nepal (JSPN) has commenced a three-day central committee meeting to review its performance in the recent House of Representatives election and analyze reasons for its electoral losses. The meeting will also discuss the party's support for the current government and its subsequent removal from it.

Madhesh Province Chief Minister Krishna Kumar Yadav successfully passed a confidence vote in the Madhesh Province Assembly with 62 votes in favor and 36 against. This vote was necessitated after a ruling coalition partner withdrew its support, leading Yadav to reshuffle the government and secure backing from new allies. The outcome ensures the continuation of his government.
