Nepal's Public Debt Nears Rs 3 Trillion Amidst Fiscal Year Challenges

Nepal's total public debt liability has reached nearly Rs 3 trillion by mid-May of the current fiscal year, according to the Public Debt Management Office. The debt now stands at 45.08 percent of the GDP, with foreign debt comprising 53.57 percent of the total. The government has only achieved 61.30 percent of its annual public debt target by mid-May.
