Mangala Rural Municipality Distributes Agricultural Tools to Farmers

Mangala Rural Municipality in Myagdi has distributed agricultural equipment worth Rs 10 million to approximately 200 farmers through a 50 percent subsidy program. The initiative aims to promote agricultural mechanization, reduce farming costs, and address labor shortages. The distributed tools include mini-tiller ploughs, mills, and thresher machines.

  • The distribution event took place on Tuesday at Matebagar in Babiyachaur, the center of the rural municipality.
  • A total of 149 mini-tiller ploughs, 35 mills, and 11 threshers were provided to farmers.
  • Rural Municipality Chairperson Sat Prasad Roka stated that mechanization programs are a priority to ease labor shortages and save farmers' time.
  • Farmers reported that mini-tillers significantly reduce labor and expenses, allowing work to be completed much faster than with oxen.
  • The program is intended to make farming more efficient and less burdensome for farmers.
