The Nepal Electricity Authority will construct an 11.92 km, 132-kV underground transmission line in central Kathmandu to connect Balaju Substation to Singha Durbar via Maharajgunj and the Narayanhiti Palace Museum area. The project aims to meet increasing electricity demand, reduce visual pollution, and enhance the urban landscape, with completion expected within three years. Several substations will also be built along the route.
