NMA Urged to Deposit Mountaineering Royalty in Divisible Fund on Time
▸ Part of: Auditor General directs Nepal Mountaineering Association to deposit royalty funds on timeThe Office of the Auditor General has urged the Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) to deposit mountaineering royalties into the divisible fund and report to the concerned ministry on time. The Intergovernmental Fiscal Management Act, 2074, mandates that royalties collected from mountaineering be deposited in the Federal Divisible Fund for distribution among federal, provincial, and local governments. The NMA, responsible for collecting royalties from 27 mountain peaks, has collected Rs 122 million but is reportedly delaying the deposit of Rs 96.3 million.
