Minister for Information and Communications Dr Bikram Timilsina has directed government-run media agencies to expedite annual audits and recover long-overdue arrears. Audit work for Gorkhapatra Corporation and Public Service Broadcasting Nepal has been pending since fiscal year 2079/80. The Minister emphasized that delays in auditing weaken transparency and affect trust, directing agencies to formulate clear action plans for recovery and consider legal proceedings if necessary.
