The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) plans to construct an 11.92 km long 132-kV underground transmission line in central Kathmandu, connecting Balaju Substation to Singha Durbar. This project aims to improve electricity distribution, meet increasing demand, and enhance the city's urban landscape by reducing overhead lines. Several substations will also be built along the corridor, with completion expected within three years.
