The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) plans to construct a 132 KV underground transmission line in central Kathmandu, connecting Balaju, Maharajgunj, Rajdarbar, Ratnapark, and Singha Durbar. The project aims to improve electricity supply, increase consumption, and enhance the city's beauty. Sub-stations will also be built in Maharajgunj, Rajdarbar, Ratnapark, and Singha Durbar. The transmission line is expected to carry up to 350 megawatts and will be completed within three years.
