Pokhara's long-delayed bus park project faces renewed efforts to clear encroachments after nearly half a century. Land acquired in 1975 has been reduced from 205 ropani to about 60 ropani due to unchecked encroachment, with around 575 households currently residing on the site. The city has issued eviction notices and plans to proceed with construction after clearing the land, promising resettlement for landless and squatters.
