The Government of Nepal has announced a goal to ensure round-the-clock access to clean drinking water through a smart distribution system within five years. Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Waglé presented this plan while unveiling the federal budget for fiscal year 2083/84, stating the aim to provide services to 65 percent of the population in three years and 100 percent in five years.
