IPPAN alarmed by stalled hydel works

The Independent Power Producers’ Association, Nepal (IPPAN) has urged the Minister for Agriculture, Forests and Environment to resume construction on five hydropower projects halted by Langtang National Park. IPPAN President Ganesh Karki highlighted the potential for hydropower development within national parks and expressed concern over delays and project halts despite approved environmental impact assessments. Minister Chaudhary assured support and policy reforms to address issues in development projects.
