Govt to restructure health insurance system, aims 90% coverage in 3 years

Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle announced a restructuring of the health insurance program, integrating scattered social health security programs into a unified payment system. The government aims to achieve up to 90 percent health insurance coverage for Nepali citizens within three years. A National Trauma Policy will also be formulated to reduce casualties from road accidents and trauma cases.
