The government's budget expenditure has reached approximately 60 percent of the annual allocation by the end of Baisakh (May 14) of the current fiscal year 2025/26, with Rs 1 trillion 173 billion 520 million spent in the past ten months. Revenue collection has also fallen short, reaching only 66 percent of the annual target, with Rs 1 trillion 12 billion 52 million collected. Foreign aid received so far is 33.28 percent of the target.
