E-Passport Project Faces Tax Evasion Allegations Amidst Suspect Dealings

The electronic passport (e-passport) printing project is facing allegations of large-scale tax evasion and capital flight due to suspicious dealings between French company IDEMIA, Singapore-registered Capital Biz Solution, and Nepal-based Delta Core Private Limited. It is suspected that a significant amount of commission, which should have been transacted through Nepal's banking system and taxed, is being paid abroad via offshore companies. This network, involving the same Nepali citizens as owners and directors in both Capital Biz Solution and Delta Core, allegedly violates Nepal's Foreign Exchange Act, Income Tax Act, and Public Procurement Act. Experts warn that this situation poses a threat to national security and call for immediate investigations.
