Flooding displaces four families, hydro power plant damaged

Continuous rainfall in Panchthar has triggered landslides and flash floods, displacing four families and threatening 15 other homes in Yangworak Municipality-1. Homes have been destroyed, and traffic has been completely disrupted due to the washing away of bridges, including a 41-foot-long bridge under construction on the Pushpalal (Madhya Pahad) Mid-Hill Highway. Several hydropower projects have also sustained damage.
