Asian Highway Road Construction Delayed Due to Bitumen Shortage

The blacktopping of the Kakarbhitta-Laukahi road section under the Asian Highway project is delayed due to a shortage and increased cost of bitumen. Jagat Prajapati, chief of the project's Itahari office, stated that while concrete-related work is progressing, the bitumen issue is causing delays. The project, financially supported by the Asian Development Bank, aims to connect various Asian nations via road networks.
