Baddi-Khambagade Road Project Faces Further Delay, Completion Pushed to 2025

The Baddi-Khambagade road section of the Madan Bhandari Highway, crucial for Western Surkhet, faces significant delays, dashing hopes for relief this monsoon. Despite initial optimism, less than half the work is completed, causing hardship for locals who face dust and mud. The project, contracted to Anak-Jayadevi JV Banke, owned by former MP Dikpal Shahi, has been pushed back by another year due to government procedures and contractor negligence, with the deadline now extended to Asar 2083.
