Monsoon preparedness plan underway for BP Highway

The government has developed a plan to keep sections of the BP Highway, particularly around the Roshi River, operational during the monsoon season. This initiative follows an incident where 89 passengers were stranded due to sudden flooding. The Department of Roads is working to ensure vehicles can use the main road even during heavy rainfall, with reconstruction efforts underway to stabilize and elevate damaged sections. The overall reconstruction of the highway is expected to be completed within 18 months.
