Japan starts reconstruction works of damage section in BP Highway

Reconstruction work on the Piple–Barkhekhola section of the BP Highway in Kavrepalanchok has resumed with assistance from Japan. The 3.2-kilometer stretch is being reconstructed with financial and technical support from the Japan International Cooperation Agency, following extensive damage caused by floods and landslides. The project, funded by a 2.8 billion yen grant, aims to upgrade the highway into a two-lane road with upgraded bridges.
