A luggage tag system will be implemented on long-distance public transport vehicles operating from the Kathmandu Valley starting May 29 to improve passenger safety and baggage handling, preventing loss, theft, or exchange of luggage. The Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office and the Federation of Nepalese National Transport Entrepreneurs signed an agreement to implement the system, where luggage will be tagged before departure and released at destinations after matching tag numbers with the bus manifest.
