Cooperative starts eco-friendly packaging
The Aadhunik Agriculture Cooperative Limited has launched an initiative to produce eco-friendly biodegradable packaging using natural materials like corn husks and sugarcane waste, supported by the FAO's Forest and Farm Facility program. This aims to reduce plastic use in Nepal, which generates significant plastic waste annually. The new technology can produce approximately 5,000 biodegradable pots daily for packaging products like dairy, honey, and pickles.
