Bio-fertilizer being used as an alternative to pesticides

The National Agricultural Modernization Project Jomsom is promoting the use of a bio-solution called ‘Epiphytic Lactic Acid Bacteria’ as an alternative to chemical pesticides for fruit crops in Myagdi, Mustang, Baglung, and Parbat. This organic solution, made from local herbs and grasses, is being tested and implemented to make apple farming in Mustang completely organic, reducing costs and environmental impact. Training has been provided to farmers on preparing and using the bio-solution.
