The Government of Nepal announced plans to construct a new railway segment from Bardibas to Nijgadh, connecting to the Kathmandu-Terai/Madhesh Fast Track. Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Waglé also pledged to finalize ongoing railway projects including Budhanagar-Biratnagar, Janakpur-Jayanagar, and existing Bardibas lines, prioritizing enhanced nationwide connectivity.
