An organic fertilizer and biogas plant established five years ago in Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality-2, Khotang, remains non-operational despite a Rs 50 million investment. The facility, intended to process waste into fertilizer and generate biogas, was inaugurated by the then Chief Minister Sherdhan Rai. Local residents are disappointed by the prolonged inactivity, fearing the state's investment may go to waste and equipment may deteriorate.
