Newly appointed Chief Justice Dr Sharma takes oath

President Ramchandra Paudel administered the oath of office and secrecy to newly appointed Chief Justice Dr Manoj Kumar Sharma at a special ceremony held at the Office of the President, Sheetal Niwas. The appointment was made on the recommendation of the Constitutional Council and in accordance with Article 129 (2) of the Constitution. The Parliamentary Hearing Committee had unanimously approved the recommendation to appoint Dr Sharma as the 33rd Chief Justice of Nepal.
