For the first time, AI-powered drones have been deployed for forest patrolling in Mustang by the Area Conservation Office in Jomsom, under the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP). This initiative aims to monitor protected forests, wildlife, and curb poaching and unauthorized activities, especially during the Yarsagumba harvesting season. The drones, capable of high-altitude operation, represent a significant advancement in Nepal's conservation technology.
