Camera traps installed in Myagdi to monitor endangered Red Pandas

Part of: Camera Trapping Initiative Launched to Monitor Endangered Red Pandas in Dhaulagiri

Automatic cameras have been installed in the Jaljala area and Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve in Myagdi to study the status of the endangered red panda. BIOCAS Nepal has initiated a red panda monitoring program using the "camera trapping" method in known habitats of the species. The images captured by the cameras will help estimate the red panda population and study parasites affecting them.
