Domestic tourists rise, foreign tourists decrease at Chitwan National Park

Chitwan National Park has seen an increase in total visitor numbers in the current fiscal year (2025/26) compared to the previous year, reaching 226,876 by mid-April. While Nepali tourist numbers have significantly risen by 33,574 to 137,246, there has been a decrease in tourists from SAARC nations and third countries. The park has collected NPR 252,748,018 in revenue, with the largest portion from ecotourism.
