The National Agricultural Modernization Project in Jomsom is promoting a "bio-solution" made from local herbs and grasses as an alternative to chemical pesticides for fruit crops. This biological solution, named "Epiphytic Lactic Acid Bacteria," has been successfully tested and is now being introduced to farmers in Mustang. The initiative aims to make Mustang apples completely organic by replacing imported chemical pesticides, with farmers receiving training on preparing and using these organic solutions.
